The Digital Hub

The DHDA wanted  to redesign and redevelop its website to create a “Best in Class” corporate website to serve domestic and international markets.

A website that showcases The Digital Hub as a vibrant, innovation focused enterprise cluster that attracts high potential scaling digital businesses. The website promotes the DHDA’s flexibility and support of its client’s in facilitating rapid growth. The website also promotes the urban regeneration and property management activities that the DHDA are engaged in. The website highlights and showcase the Digital Hubs key value propositions.

There was a requirement for the new website to be responsive in design, with strong branding – adhering to brand guidelines, modernised design/user interface, a focus on the user experience through improved information architecture, navigation and user journeys.

One of the primary goals of the new website was to uphold the mission and strategic objectives of the DHDA and provide new leads and sales opportunities. The website also needed to be easy to use and navigate and encourage and facilitate user contribution where appropriate.

From the beginning of the website project, the team at Software Design worked closely with the Marketing team, guiding us each step of the way when it came to making the best decisions for the best outcomes.

The process of consulting with the variety of people our website had to serve was very important to us. Software Design helped us conduct surveys and they ran focus groups and card sorting exercises, which were invaluable, as were the development of personas for visitors to our website and the journeys such visitors would undertake while on the website. All this research was invaluable preparation.

Working through what functionality we wanted and how the website should look was made painless by the team at Software Design. It launched on schedule and within the agreed budget. It is already working well and KPIs to date are showing the goals we have set, such as sales enquiry emails, are being reached. Feedback from the companies based here has been positive.

We look forward to working with Software Design on evolving the website in the future.
